Raymond P. Kenny, M.D., FACP, FACG, Clinical Assistant Professor of
Medicine, UMDNJ, treats patients with Hepatitis and is very active in
the HCV community.  In terms of new product awareness, he is a good
representative of the views of the community physician.  His main focus
is on patient care and as such has the perspective of the practicing
hepatologist anticipating the availability of specifically targeted
therapies for Hepatitis C.


Dr. Kenny trained in medicine at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN before
completing his gastroenterology fellowship at The Hospital of The
University of Pennsylvania (HUP).  While at HUP he also completed an
NIH-sponsored research fellowship focused on bile formation.  He has
been part of the leading gastroenterology group practice in New Jersey
and has been recognized by his peers having been elected President of
the State Society and Governor for the National American College of
Gastroenterology.  In this private practice setting, he was the site
principal investigator of a Phase III safety and efficacy trial of
Pegylated Interferon Alpha-2a (1997-1999) which provided the
pharmacokinetic data for the drug that is now the standard of care.

Dr. Kenny serves as medical advisor to The American Liver Foundation,
Greater New York Chapter.
